Kids Read for Kids is a community-driven literacy initiative that encourages children, classrooms, schools, and families to turn the joy of reading into meaningful support for Ronald McDonald House Rochester. Through reading challenges and fundraising efforts, participants help provide comfort, care, meals, and a place to stay for families with seriously ill or injured children receiving medical care in our community.
This special initiative empowers young readers to make a real difference while promoting literacy, compassion, and community involvement. Every page read and every dollar raised helps families stay close to their child when it matters most.
Whether participating at home, in the classroom, or as part of a community group, Kids Read for Kids creates an opportunity for children to learn the value of giving back while helping local families during difficult times.
Additional details, participation information, and ways to get involved will be announced in the coming months.
In the meantime, if you have questions or are interested in participating, please contact Courtney Trawitz, Director of Events & Community Engagement, at [email protected].
