Our snack bag program is a meaningful team-building opportunity for groups of all ages. Gather your team to assemble snack bags that help support families across all Ronald McDonald House Rochester programs.

Children and Young Volunteers

There are many meaningful ways for families, children, and community groups to get involved in supporting Ronald McDonald House Rochester. From participating in our Make a Meal program to organizing toy drives, collecting pop tabs, or donating items from our wish list, every effort helps provide comfort and support for families staying with us during a difficult time.

These opportunities are a wonderful way to give back together while helping families feel cared for and supported throughout their child’s medical journey.

Please note: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Help support Ronald McDonald House Rochester through community events and fundraising initiatives throughout the year. Volunteers may assist with third party fundraisers, check presentations, and signature events such as our Annual Gala, BEE A Hero Day, and Family Reunion. Family Room Volunteers

Our Family Rooms, located in Golisano Children’s Hospital, Unity Hospital, and Strong Memorial Hospital, provide a haven for families. Volunteers here greet guests with warmth and provide essential hospitality, offering a moment of respite.
Hospitality Carts Volunteers

Hospitality Cart Volunteers

Support families and children through our hospitality cart program at local hospitals throughout the Rochester region. Volunteers help prepare and distribute snack bags, comfort items, toys, and refreshments to help brighten a child’s day and provide support during hospital visits and outpatient appointments.
Westmoreland House Volunteers

Westmoreland House Volunteers

At our Westmoreland Drive House, volunteers are essential in organizing our closets and attic, cleaning common areas, driving our vans, maintaining the kitchen, and beautifying the gardens. Each task is a step toward making families feel at home.
